What's new with the Hansens

I always post pictures of Korie, but I realized I never really talk about "what's new" with us as a family.  So, here's the scoop!  Brent got a new job a couple of months ago, and he really loves it!  He is the Director of Innovation at Avantas, a technology company affiliated with Alegent Health.  He is doing the same type of thing, upper management with a software development group, but it is more related to healthcare now.  He is doing well, and really likes it!

I am *still* in my same job, nurse in the ER at Children's, but I have taken on a new role in addition to my "regular" job.  I became a certified instructor for Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association.  So I will be teaching classes to healthcare professionals 4 times a year...I'm excited!  I have also been working hard to get back into shape, and I have lost 26 pounds since the end of March, and I feel great!  I am getting back into 5k running shape, and am up to about 2 miles.

And, for our big news...as of 3 days ago, our house is officially on the market!  No showings yet, but it's still early.  We are hoping our house sells in a decent amount of time, and we are currently looking for houses in Council Bluffs in the Lewis Central school district.  We kicked around the idea of building a house in a small community, like Neola or Underwood, but didn't really like our options.  So, we'll see how it goes once our house sells...keep your fingers crossed for us!

It is so hard to believe that Korie is 15 months old already...time really does fly by!  At her 15 mo appointment with Dr. Loucks last week, she weighed 25 lbs 10 oz (86th percentile), was 33.5 inches tall (99th percentile), and head circumference of 48.5 cm (97th percentile).  She is tall and big, with a big brain!  :)  She is healthy as can be, which we are soooo grateful for!  She is so fun, smart, and sweet.  We couldn't be luckier!  Here are a few pictures from last week (sorry about the poor quality, they were taken with my phone).
