Baby Boy Update

Today I had my 28 week appointment, and Baby Boy is still looking good and right on track!  Well, he's measuring big (surprise, surprise!), so maybe a little ahead of schedule.  But either way, he appears to be healthy and he is definitely active...sometimes I think he's trying to jump out of my stomach!  :)  Now that we're finally into May, it won't be long now.  Hopefully we have somewhere to live by the time he arrives in July!  :)  Here is Baby Boy's "bump" at 27 weeks.

3rd trimester...woohoo!

A Day at the Zoo

A few weeks ago, we took advantage of a nice Sunday and went to the zoo.  (Us and everyone else in Omaha...it was packed!)  The older Korie gets, the more she loves the zoo!  She loves animals so much, and she had a great time!  She always loves the aquarium, of course, and she also loves the gorillas and monkeys.  By the time we were done, she was exhausted (as you can see from the last picture...she was asleep within 5 minutes of being in the truck)!

Good News All Around!

Hi everyone!  We have a couple of pieces of good news.  First of all, I am able to go back to work!  Nothing has changed as far as my doctor is concerned, but my manager was able to work out a way for me to come back to work in a "limited" capacity.  I am able to work as the QVN (quick view nurse) in the ER, the nurse who sits in the waiting room and checks patients in, "sorting" them based on their complaint and how they look...this keeps really sick kids from getting overlooked in the waiting room when we have long wait times.  I'm lucky that my shift is from 4pm to midnight, and we normally staff a QVN from 3-11pm (our busiest time), so the times are just slightly modified for me.  It is quite a relief!

Secondly, WE ACCEPTED AN OFFER ON OUR HOUSE!  Finally, after all the stress and inconvenience of having a house on the market while pregnant with a toddler, we are selling!  Paperwork still needs to be finalized, but as of right now, we close on June 7th.  Now, the real stress begins!  We need to decide where we are going to live, and if we're going to build.  We've been strongly leaning towards building a new house in Carson (so we get exactly what we want, because after this, I'm never moving again!), but that also means:  finding a place to live for about 6 months (aka renting), moving twice (ugh!), and of course, more money and stress with building.  However, we have not ruled out Council Bluffs, if the perfect house and situation presented itself...it sure would be easier.  So, we have a lot of decisions to make in the next week or two, but of course we're thrilled!

Here are a few recent pictures of Korie, who of course has no idea what she's in for in the new few months...moving (possibly twice) and a new baby!  :)

Playing with tractors, trucks, and cars, her obsession these days

Outside enjoying the warmer weather, finally!

She loves to ring the doorbell

A day at the park, having fun with Daddy

She loves sitting in the laundry basket (not sure why!)
